24/7 is open for enrollment! “The YMCA is responding to a community need for 24-hour access to wellness options,” said Scenic Rivers YMCA CEO Jesse Kelley. “Many people work shifts and have jobs that require alternatives to daytime workouts. We want to offer more to people in our community, and this is just one of the ways we’re responding.” “Since opening our new facility in January 2019, we have listened to the needs of our community and now is the time to bring what people have asked for most,” Kelley explained. In response to the need for greater flexibility in hours, especially on weekends and holidays, the YMCA is currently piloting 24/7 access with a small sample of YMCA members. The official launch of the program is targeted for November. “Our pilot program for limited members and employees is helping us make necessary changes in the building to ensure we have proper lighting and accessibility to those utilizing the YMCA after hours,” Kelley said. “So far it’s been going very well.” The YMCA will potentially offer the wellness center, weight room, track, gymnasium, and restroom access for 24/7 members. Hours outside of the YMCA’s posted hours will be unstaffed beyond limited cleaning and maintenance personnel. Applications for a 24/7 access key card are currently being accepted. Current YMCA membership, background check, interview, and signed waivers are required along with a $25 keycard fee. There are no extra membership fees for those with 24/7 access. YMCA Holiday Blessing Box Food Distribution will be held from 10am to 12pm at the Clarion County YMCA Main Parking Lot, 499 Mayfield Road. Photo ID is required to pick up your box of food. Please do not exit your car! Remember to smile and spread holiday cheer!
