The YMCA Youth Volleyball League offers each child the opportunity to gain a basic understanding of volleyball. Coaches will help each child develop the basic skills for bumping, setting, and serving and put an emphasis on learning teamwork and communication. Each child will get two chances to serve before a point is awarded to the other team. Each team will play 8 games consisting of at least 2 sets per game. Age groups for volleyball are 8-11, 12-14 and 15-16. All age groups are co-ed.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR WINTER 2024

• Week of NOVEMBER 11th – Parent/Coach Meetings
• Week of NOVEMBER 18th – First Practice
• DECEMBER 7th – First Game
• FEBRUARY 1st – Last Game

UNIFORMS

All players will be required to have the official YMCA volleyball sports jersey. The jersey is available for purchase ($25) at the front desk of your local YMCA.

LOCATIONS & PRACTICE

Practices will be held at your home YMCA branch, the date and time will be determined by the volunteer coaches

Games may rotate between all YMCA of Greater Tulsa locations depending on league size.

COACHES NEEDED

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

It is the policy of the YMCA of Greater Tulsa that no person be denied membership or program participation due to the inability to pay. If you are in need of a Scholarship for our sports program please see our front desk. Funds for financial assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.
