Sportsmanship and our expectations.
Coaches and fans,
The YMCA has aided in developing this Association with the help of many people over the years for local towns to build a local program. We uniform the rules to allow consistency and enforceable rules in the development of your players. We help certify your coaches, lower the cost of insurance, and provide opportunities to compete against other local towns each season.
Our goal is to allow local programs to build a foundation for future school programs. It is up to each program to grow and build upon their programs by using the time, talents, and treasures within your community. We have a mix of programs working together some better funded, larger populations bases, or better facilities. It is the YMCA that works hard to keep the peace and develop this association to allow all who work with us to compete.
Our association is YMCA program that adopts USA football guidelines that we all must maintain that means we have standards that must be met to ensure the proper development of players, rules that maintain the peace, and depend on many schools to ensure place to play. We ask that you take care of the sportsmanship and behavior of your teams competing. If gone uncheck this bad behavior may cause us to lose the facilities and trust of those allowing us to utilize the fields for your teams to play on. We are trusted and agree to upkeep facilities, run a safe program, and protect the people, players, and facilities being used.
It has come to my attention that some coaches, chain gangs, and fans are not exhibiting proper sportsmanship. This behavior going forward could be the cause of losing trust and use of the facilities used in association play. No matter who it is everyone must exhibit and maintain proper behavior and not escalate problems by yelling, name calling, or insulting anyone at a game. These altercations might seem harmless at first but can quickly escalate and become personal. We are here to teach our kids to be better so we must be the examples.
We play to win and sometimes we get beat, sometimes we beat ourselves, sometimes calls go against us at the worst times it all part of the game. We must learn how to rebound from those unforced errors, mistakes, bad performances, or bad calls to keep working with the things we can control. We keep trying, keep learning, and keep putting our best foot forward.
As we develop our players for the future we must instill integrity, character, work ethic, and good sportsmanship. We must model this behavior because they learn by our actions not our words. Please help keep the peace and help control your team when tempers get hot.
The success of this program will be determined by Everyone connected with the Association to abide by all rules and regulations Ratified and Sanctioned by all participating members. Adults, Coaches, and Players must maintain respect and good sportsmanship while developing their youth and playing.
opportunities for our youth. Our Goal is to foster competition in a safe environment allowing our youth to compete and develop to the best of each child’s ability. Failure to maintain our composers, sportsmanship, and respect for all that participate could cost our youth opportunities in the future.
Tournament Rules on Coaches Behavior
Referee could give one warning on a coach for arguing with referee or other team or showing unsportsmanlike conduct.
First Flag coach will be put on sideline not allowed on field.
Second Flag Coach will be asked to leave. Must leave stadium. On second Flag coach will not be allowed to next game if team advances.
Teams responsible for fans and coaches.
On all instances when fans, coaches, or players are out of hand it the teams are responsible to restore the peace among it own team. Administrators and referees will talk with coaching staff directly to request them to take care of any problem that may occur among their team. If this cannot be taken care of the authorities will be called. We hope this will not happen but this the procedure to take care of any unruly person who is not acting properly or causing a disturbance. We ask that all people act in a way that would make your grandmother happy and that we calm down our own fan base. Our kids learn to act by our actions and let give them good examples to follow.
