Youth are taught basic rules of the game and skills like catch, throw, and bat in a fun team atmosphere. Every session will include a practice and end with a non-scored game. Age 4 T-Ball. August 22 – October 10 BASKETBALL Rec – (Ages 4-12) Youth participating in basketball activities can be a great form of exercise that also helps form team-building skills and a sense of community. This is a progressive basketball skill development league. This league focuses on teaching the fundamentals of basketball. Age 6-7 Rec Coed. Monday. 6pm-7pm. August 17 – October 5 Age 8-9. Rec Coed. August 19 – September 30 NFL FLAG FOOTBALL Rec – (Ages 4-12). Flag football is a great way for everyone to participate in football. Flag Football at the Y will offer you a chance to learn the game, develop your skills and play in a safe and fun recreational environment. Age 4-5 Rec Coed. Tuesday. 6pm to 645pm. August 19 – September 30 SOCCER Rec – (Ages 4-12) Youth Soccer is an exciting sport combining team play and individual skills. Kids are taught basic rules and game skills such as trapping, dribbling, passing and shooting as well as goalie skills. Every session will include a practice and end with a non-scored game. The YMCA cross country program emphasizes skill development and sportsmanship. Athletes will learn race strategy, sportsmanship and running safety. Age 4. Rec Coed. Monday/Wednesday. 545pm-630pm. Update: There will be no organized Youth Sports events over the Labor Day Holiday Weekend. Make-up sessions originally scheduled this Saturday September 5 for both Baseball and Soccer have been rescheduled to later in the season.
