Coach’s Corner
Our Volunteer Coaches are making a difference!
Behind every YMCA sports team are dedicated coaches. Inspirational and influential, these selfless volunteers give their all for every practice, play and game. Being a coach at the YMCA also gives adults the opportunity to work with and learn from their players. You do not need a long list of coaching experience – just basic knowledge of the sport and a desire to teach the fundamentals. Coaches, you make our programs possible by volunteering your time to teach the youth in our community and you cannot be thanked enough!
Becoming a volunteer coach is easy! All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application, Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse History clearance. All paperwork must be turned in two weeks prior to the start of the session. For anyone interested in volunteering, click the link below to get started! For additional questions, please contact the YMCA at 814-868-0867.
