Welcome to our Rec sports leagues at Hendricks Regional Health! We are so excited to have you. This communication contains almost everything you will need to know for this season.

• Saturdays for 7 weeks 6/29-8/17
• Rec leagues are played entirely at Hendricks Regional Health YMCA. They are powered by parent volunteers and promote equal playtime and teamwork. Jersey is included and no travel is required.
• If you have already received a uniform from past seasons, great! Jerseys are usable until it no longer fits. If you are new, jerseys will be provided and given out week 3. 
• Picture day is TBD. 
• Wear your jersey, basketball shoes, and gym shorts each week.
• Always bring at least one water bottle for your participant. 
• Goal is to develop and strengthen skills and put those skills into game situations 
• First two practices: evaluation with the purpose of dividing teams evenly 
• Referees are Coach/Staff or Volunteer 
• YMCA League Information 
• Division Breakdown Ages 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12
• Gym Information / Scheduling: Court 1 (near to the rest of the building/hallway) Court 2 (closer to the exits in the gymnasium) 
• We will be handing out Parent/ Coach Handbooks for new participants so that you can learn more about the structure of the league, rules, and other FAQs. We’ll also have time for any questions you might have. We are in need of volunteer coaches, if you are interested please email me at [email protected]. More players = more FUN! Please tell other friends and family about the YMCA so they can put in a teammate request and join your team! If any questions come up before the first week, or at any point of the season, please do not hesitate to reach out. We cannot wait to see you on the court!
