Information

With an emphasis on fair play and safety first, the YMCA youth soccer programs are progressive with age appropriate rules to help teach the game and keep it fun! Soccer is the sport that teaches important core values, while also emphasizing exercise and building endurance. All four youth soccer leagues seasons present opportunities for character growth and health improvements in children.

The YMCA Rookie Plus program focuses on skill development, fun, and a sense of team in a semi-competitive environment, with volunteer coaches. Scores and standings will be kept. Our rules have been adjusted to ensure better parity and limit the ability of a team to “run up the score”.

To accomodate for the heat and summer travel, all Rookie Plus divisions will practice 1 hour on Saturday morning, followed immediately by a formal scrimmage. This league will have 6 games.
