The Thunder Youth Basketball League is the standard YMCA League with an emphasis on developing and understanding the game of basketball. Officials will be more lenient and assist in helping the child learn. The season consists of eight games. The Thunder Youth Basketball League is open to children ages 3-12. For ages 7 & up, the league is gender specific.

• Coaches Meeting – Saturday June 14th at 10:00am @ The Tandy YMCA Gym
• Basketball Parent Meeting – Friday June 13th at 6pm @ The Tandy YMCA
• First Practices Week of June 16th
• First Games on June 21st
• Last Games on August 9th

UNIFORMS

Basketball Jersey Requirements:

All players will be required to have the official YMCA Thunder Basketball League jersey. The jersey is available for purchase ($25) ONLINE ONLY CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO ORDER: https://www.ymcathunderbasketballleague.com/.

LOCATIONS & PRACTICE

Practices will be held at your home YMCA branch, the date and time will be determined by the volunteer coaches

Games may rotate between all YMCA of Greater Tulsa locations depending on league size.

 COACHES NEEDED

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

It is the policy of the YMCA of Greater Tulsa that no person be denied membership or program participation due to the inability to pay. Funds for financial assistance are provided through the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.
