Information
Games: Games will be played on Saturdays beginning September 9 at the McCook YMCA Gymnasium Citta Deli Court #1. No games will be played on October 14th (Heritage Days). Teams will play 6 games over a 7 week period. Game dates are as follows: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21.
Equipment Provided: Volleyballs are available for practices at the YMCA and for checkouts by coaches practicing elsewhere. Team shirts will be handed out to teams prior to their first game.
Equipment Recommended: Knee pads and tennis/gym shoes are recommended. No jewelry, wrist bands, necklaces, etc. will be allowed.
Practices: Practices may begin after August 22nd. Practices will be conducted once weekly during the season and scheduled by coaches. Practice times will be reserved at the coaches meeting. Due to limited court space, practice days will be assigned as follows to ensure an equal opportunity for court space. This will also promote the opportunity for teams to scrimmage throughout the season.
- K-1st: Monday Evenings
- 2nd-3rd: Tuesday Evenings
- 4th-6th: Thursday Evenings
- Friday Evening and Sunday Afternoon time slots will be available based on other YMCA activities.
Game Day & Practice Policies:
- Food and drinks are prohibited in the gym. Only bottled water will be allowed.
- Please pick up & dispose of trash properly.
- Coaches are responsible for cleaning the bench area after the completion of each match.
