First Game Day Information

Hello Parents,

Here is a summary of the important details we covered in our recent parent meeting. Please read this carefully to make sure you and your child are prepared for our first game.

Game and Arrival Times
Our first game is Thursday, September 25th. Please note the different arrival times based on age group.

Ages 5-6: Arrive at the field by 5:30 PM, no later than 5:45 PM. Your game starts at 6:00 PM.

Ages 7 and up: Arrive at the field by 6:30 PM, no later than 6:45 PM. Your game starts at 7:00 PM.

Uniforms and Gear
All girls must wear all-white shoes and white socks. Their hair needs to be in a ponytail. Please also make sure they bring a water bottle with them.

Cheer skirts have arrived! If we don't receive the tops by Wednesday's practice, the girls will wear their cheer skirts with a white shirt.

Snack Crate
We're setting up a snack crate for the girls to enjoy after the game. We're asking each parent to provide at least one variety snack to contribute to the crate. Please bring your snack with you to practice on Wednesday.

End of Season

Just a quick note to let you know that we won’t have games tomorrow.

Thank you all for a fantastic season! We've really enjoyed watching the kids play and appreciate your support throughout.

We'll be announcing the date for our end-of-season celebration this coming Monday. Stay tuned for more details!

Basketball Practice Tuesday 12/10

Practice has been canceled for tonight due to a water leak in the gym. This would make for an unsafe practice/play condition, we ant our players as safe as possible at all times.

Practice will resume Thursday 12/12 at 6pm

End of season party, Monday the 17th 6-7. We will have burgers and hot dogs and give out awards. Please have your players wear their jerseys and show their team spirit!

Picture Day will be Thursday February 6th. The Schedule is below,

Rebels: 5:15
Heat: 5:45
Seminoles: 6:15

Please arrive on time so we can ensure this runs smooth and the kids have plenty of time to warm up before their games. Rick Milton will have all information regarding prices and where to purchase your pictures.

Practice Dates and Times

This will be the Basketball practice until further notice. Eventually we will split practice times for each age group, when we do this we will let you know.

New Website

YGametime is more than just a place to look up your schedule. You can find out who won last nights game, what sports are being played next season as well as other activities going on at the North Jefferson Family Y.

Football

Tomorrows Hurricanes game has been canceled. Louisville does not have enough players and will therefore be unable to play.

The Seminoles will be playing at 6pm instead of 7:15

Picture day will still happen for both teams tomorrow at 5.

POST HURRICANE FOOTBALL SEASON

Football Games will resume Monday 10/14. Both games will be played in Louisville, Hurricanes @ 6, Seminoles @ 7:15.
Games for the following dates will be played as scheduled. 10/17 10/21 10/24.
Our last game on 10/24 will also be picture day, this will be held @ 5.

Heat Advisory Child Watch For Outside Sports

Weather Announcement

Dear Parents,

At The North Jefferson Family Y, the safety of your children is our number one priority. To ensure their well-being during outdoor activities, we use a detailed weather chart to determine the playing conditions for our outside sports.

In extreme weather conditions, we typically cancel games or practices. In less severe conditions, we may reduce the duration of outdoor activities and place a strong emphasis on water and hydration to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Picture Day

Picture Day for the tackle football season will take place on October 24th at 5pm. Please ensure your child arrives on time to have their picture taken as this will be followed by a 6pm game time.
