Spring Soccer Information



Players will need a soccer ball and water bottle for practices. Parents are required to remain on site during all practices and games. Below is a list of additional items you may need, and key dates for the season
• Size 3 soccer ball
• Cleats are highly recommended, but not required (no cleats with toe stud).
• Shin guards must be worn during all games.
Key Dates:
• Academy Sports Discount Weekend March 22-24 (Coupon can be found in announcements on YGametime)
• No Practices/Games March 25-30 for Spring Break
• First Game: April 6 (Game Schedule Will be on YGametime by 3/22)
• Picture Date: During Practices April 18-19
• Final Games: May 11

Uniforms will be available for purchase during practices from YMCA staff at the pavilion adjacent to the fields. Purchases can be made by Debit/Credit Card ONLY. Each player must wear a YMCA jersey. If you have a uniform from a previous YMCA soccer season you will not need to purchase a new one.

Game Schedules will be available no later than March 22 on YGametime.

For jerseys Home is Gray | Away is Red. The team listed first on the schedule is home, and the team listed second is away.

Summer Class Info

Summer Classes begin the week of June 5 on their scheduled night and time. We are honored to serve you by teaching your child fundamentals, and hopefully getting them excited about playing in the future. Please read this email in its entirety as there is important information regarding the classes.

What to Bring:
• Each player will need their own size 3 Soccer ball
• Water/Gatorade etc. It will be hot this Summer, so we need to keep our young athletes hydrated. We will take frequent breaks to ensure everyone stays cool.
•
• For soccer classes shin guards and cleats are recommended, but not required. (No football/baseball cleats)
•

We will focus on games and drills that teach fundamentals. Our staff will be organizing and teaching the classes each week; however, if you would like to help at any point, feel free to jump in and join them in the drills.

Fall Soccer Info

If your team name is listed as COACH NEEDED we are still in need of a volunteer coach for your child's team. All of our teams are coached by volunteers who choose the night and time of their team's practice, so until a coach is placed with those teams we will not have practices scheduled. If you or anyone in your circle of influence would be interested in volunteering to coach please let us know!

• First Game: August 26 (Game Schedule Will be on YGametime by 8/18)
• Picture Date: September 21-22
• Labor Day Weekend: No Games 9/2
• Fall Break: No Practices 10/2-10/6. No games 10/7
