Keeping Our Programs Safe

As part of the YMCA of Central Texas’ continued commitment to providing a safe environment for children and families, we are implementing our Trusted Screening Process for ALL adults entering YMCA facilities and program spaces.

What is Trusted Screening?

Trusted Screening is a quick identity verification and background screening process used by the YMCA of Central Texas to help provide a safe environment for children, families and everyone who participates in our programs. The screening verifies an individual’s identity and checks the National Sex Offender Registry.

What does this mean for you?

• • YMCA members are already screened and do not need to take any additional steps.
  • All community members and guests ages 18+ must register and complete our Trusted Screening Process before attending YMCA games, practices, events or other programs.
  • Guests should be prepared to present a valid government-issued photo ID when entering a YMCA facility or program location.
    • Valid forms of ID include: Driver’s License, State ID Card, Passport, Military ID, Permanent Resident Card or Employment Authorization Card. A school-issued photo ID may also be accepted when presented with a birth certificate.
  • The screening includes a check of the National Sex Offender Registry and is designed to help us maintain a safe environment for everyone we serve.
  • We encourage families to share this information in advance with grandparents, relatives, friends and other spectators who may plan to attend.
  • Please allow a few extra minutes for check-in, particularly on your first visit.

For anyone who is 18+, and not a YMCA Member, please follow the steps below to create a Community Member Account, so you can scan into our system when entering YMCA facilities and program spaces.

   3. Scroll to the bottom and select Community Member
   4. Fill out all of the information for Primary Adult

Once your Community Member Account is created, you can save the barcode to your phone for easy scanning.
