Player evaluations are an important part of our team formation process and help us create balanced teams throughout the league. Please make every effort to have your child attend their designated evaluation session. No player evaluations for Ages 5-6 Player Evaluation Schedule Tuesday, August 18 Ages 7-8: 4:00 PM Ages 9-10: 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 19 Ages 11-12: 4:30 PM Players should come dressed and ready to participate. We recommend wearing: Athletic clothing Cleats Their YMCA Flag Football jersey (if they already have one from a previous season) Help Us Spread the Word If you have friends, classmates, neighbors, or teammates who may be interested in playing flag football this season, please encourage them to register as soon as possible Flag Football League – Channel Islands YMCA. It is important that new players register before player evaluations so they can participate and be properly evaluated for team placement. Jersey Reminder Please remember to purchase your child's jersey through Apparel Ordering with Augusta Sportswear if you have not already done so. Jerseys can take up to a week to arrive, so we encourage you to place your order as soon as possible. If your child already has a jersey from last football season, there is no need to purchase a new one. Please have them wear their existing jersey to player evaluations. Coaches Still Needed We are still looking for volunteer coaches in several divisions. Coaching is a rewarding way to support our athletes and help make the season a success. YMCA Youth Flag Football League The YMCA Youth Flag Football League is designed to help kids build confidence, develop skills, and have fun in a supportive environment. Our program combines the excitement of flag football with the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, creating a positive experience where young athletes can grow both on and off the field. Whether your child is new to the game or has previous experience, our league focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and family involvement. At the Y, we celebrate participation, personal growth, and wholesome competition over winning alone.
