West Des Moines Schools Mask Requirements:

The West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) Board of Education approved an updated return-to-learn plan at a special meeting on Thursday, Sept. 16. WDMCS will require all individuals, including students, staff, and visitors, to wear face masks while indoors on WDMCS property, including buses, starting Monday, Sept. 20.  Athletes may remove masks while directly participating in the activity (basketball).

Please remember to refrain from attending programming if you or your player:

  • Has new or worsening symptoms of COVID-19
  • Has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days
  • A member of your household has tested positive in the last 14 days and your participant is not fully vaccinated.

Basketball Start Dates:

Kindergarten Basketball Begins November 7th.

1st-8th Grade practices begin the week of November 15th.  Games begin December 4th.
