APS COVID UPDATE!
As many of you are aware, APS enacted enhanced COVID-safe practices effective today 01/19/2022. I am writing to inform you on how this relates to our sports programs at the YMCA. We have been in contact with APS, as of right now the moratorium on sports spectators does not include community activities hosted at APS locations. The YMCA winter youth sports league will still be able to have games and practices as scheduled. We also will still allow spectators at games and practices. The YMCA continues to take precautions in our leagues and always follows NMAA, CDC, and NMDOH guidelines. The YMCA is committed to the safety and health of our members, program participants and staff. Therefore, we will continue to strictly enforce the use of face masks. We ask that all players, staff, and spectators are diligent in properly wearing a well-fitting mask. We will be enforcing a ZERO TOLERANCE RULE for facemasks at all practices and games. Please help us do our part in ensuring the children of our community continue to be able to play sports. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these rules. We ask that if you are showing symptoms or have been in close contact with any confirmed case that you stay home for the required quarantine period. You may find more information regarding these detailed guidelines on www.CDC.gov. We continue to vigorously monitor and enact all changes in guidance as it relates to COVID in our community. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dane Leininger at [email protected] or 505-595-1515. Respectfully, Dane Leininger
